Kiejstut Bereźnicki
21 December 1935 - (alive as of latest data)
Polish
Figurative painting, rooted in European traditional art
Numerous exhibitions in Polish cities and abroad, including participation at Galerie EL, BWA venues, Polish National Museums
1999
oil on canvas
The painting was exhibited at a 2003 exhibition in Gdańsk on the occasion of receiving the Kazimierz Ostrowski Award for 2002, organized by the ZPAP Gdańsk District. It was also reproduced in the exhibition catalog on pages 62 and 63.
The work fits into the still life genre, with clear references to Dutch, Venetian, and Spanish 17th-century painting. Bereźnicki not only draws inspiration from old masters but also engages in an artistic dialogue with them, reinterpreting classical motifs in a modern context.
